A new generation of justice leadership in Iraq

Asser Institute
Human Security Collective (HSC)

Enable access to justice innovation to a future generation of justice practitioners.

In sum

Each driven by their own area of expertise, the coalition partners will align forces on developing a new generation of justice leadership in Iraq:

  1. Leadership that includes young talent and senior experts, from government, civil society, academia and the private sector.
  2. Leadership that is focussed on the realisation of the SDGs, in particular those related to justice.
  3. Leadership that is more open to data driven and evidence based working.
  4. Leadership that is open to innovation, open dialogue and collaboration across sectors.

The coalition partners will open up their local and global networks to realise this collaboration. The foundation for this collaborative effort is an extensive justice needs data survey, taking into account the context-specific characteristics with Iraq being a post-war country facing the challenges of transitional justice. On this basis, the coalition will provide knowledge-enrichment programmes whilst making use of high quality streaming technology.
